potter’s clay made by the dexterous hands of
Sifnos’ potters, who work for ages
with artistry and craving, handling the earth of Sifnos, creating
objects of unique beauty and art, according to the tradition
(earthen chimneys (flaroi) etc.), as well as modern objects of
domestic use, such as utensils (mastela, skepastaria, pots for chick
peas, chicken-pots etc.)
Sifnos’ honey,
which is famous for its purity and its fine quality, its aroma and
its excellent flavor! Its flavor and its aroma are due to the thyme,
which grows all over the island!
 Homemade
cheeses
of excellent quality that you must try by all means! The
xynomyzithra, which usually is used in salads, the chloromanoura
(fresh cream cheese), which is one of the basic ingredients for the
honey-pie, the traditional sweet of Sifnos’ Easter days, as well as
the spicy manoura of Sifnos, which has a unique taste!
