Getting around

The twelve villages of the island are connected during summer by 4 buses which pass frequently, while there are also ten taxis, which make your transportation easier.  

Alternatively, the organized groups of tourists can rent the modern coach of the island, combining if they want, their transfer with conducted tours around Sifnos.

In Sifnos you shall find many car and motorcycle rental enterprises, the seats of which are situated in Kamares (port), in Apollonia (capital) and in Platys Gialos.

The distances in kilometers in Sifnos are short and the access time to the most distant village or beach does not surpass 20 minutes.

Even if you like walking, you shall discover magnificent routes through old paths, faraway from the carriageways. The time it shall take you, depends on the route that you are going to choose, starting from 30 minutes. A rich network which consists of traditional narrow streets and paths connects all the villages and the beaches among them and with the most distant and difficult to access regions.
